It was a busy weekend at the house. Well, both of them. Moving things we can live without and painting the new office.
I’ve decided that the Brady Bunch never moved from the 70’s abode because they just wouldn’t have survived the transfer of stuff. Of course, looking back, beside groceries, I’m not sure I ever witnessed them bringing in anything new to the house except maybe Marsha’s pom-pom’s and the goat that Greg’s class had stolen. We have only two children and a small business (Mr. Brady had his little architect office) and we’re overwhelmed with things. We’re using this as a chance to declutter, clean out, and donate. Somehow, we’re moving into a larger house and we have enough furnishings to fill it up already.
Gage declared this weekend that he wants a different color bedroom than he already picked out. And he has an opinion on the type of lighting we’re putting in the dining room. I’m not so sure the Brady boys had any choice in the decor in their bedroom…but Gage does have a flair for design. Expensive design. (note to self: work with Gage on the value of the word "sale.")
The kids, with the assistance of Auntie P and KG attended the VR Roberts Memorial Day Parade. They had a great time, except for Quinn’s fight with the fire ants, in which she lost. And the remnants are about 20 fire ant bites (Ouch!).
Am having a conference call regarding Gage with our Alabama nephrologist on Tuesday. Will let you know what the outcome is…
